Burgess takes win in Par Plus

Last Saturday we had 10 starters in a Par Plus sponsored by Narromine Pharmacy. The winner was Jack Burgess with +7 from Doug Blazey with +5 and Geoff Swane +3. Nearest the pin on the ninth was Doug Blazey.

On Sunday we had 46 starters in a two-person Ambrose sponsored by Ag N Vet.

The best score on the day was 57 3/4 by George and Mick Sadgrove from Tony Mann and Glen Monaghan with 58 1/2. Third was Craig Duff and Mick Harris with 60 1/4. In the non-golfers section Dave Warren and Wes Greg had 64 1/2 as did Tony Beaumont (who was really struggling at the end) and Col McKay. Best mixed team was Bruce and Trish Mitchell and best ladies team was Margot Wynn and Claire Hamilton. Nearest the pin on the third was Rob Williams, ninth Rob Williams, 10th Brian Masling, 17th Carol McDonald and 18th Tony Mann. Nearest the pin on the second shots on the sixth and 12th was Dave Floyde and longest drive Tony Mann. A great day was had by all and $460 was raised for Narromine Cancer Support.

On Tuesday night the weather played havoc but we still had 129 starters with the best team score by Team Orange with 98 points led by Craig Davies 27 (snip snip) and George Mack 25.

Othergood scores included Jim Hamilton 24, Marie Houghton 24, Doug Blazey 24, Bob Walsh 24, Vicki Tuck 24, Robert Handsaker 24, Sandy Mack 23, Lyn Davies 23, John Butcher 23 and Tim Penson 24.

Nearest the pin on the third was Bud Cape, ninth Craig Davies, 10th Geoff Swane and 17th Tim McGrath.

This weekend we have the 4BBB Championships over the two days. Don’t forget the AGM on November 21.
